Dark green leaves 12" long and 3" wide are deeply notched, with light green petioles. Both leaves and tender stalks are harvested in Spring.
Produces excellent yields of green chicory. Very flavorful with a tangy taste. Leaves used primarily in salads and cooked as greens. An heirloom variety from Italy.
